All Residents can change their username from your SecondLife.com dashboard (although there is a fee to do so)! Simply choose Account in the menu on the left, underneath your username. In the drop down menu that pops up, select Change Name. You can navigate to that page directly here:

| Last names will be limited to the current list of names shown on your dashboard, in addition to any last names you may have held in the past on that account. |
The cost to change one's username depends on membership level:
