Group-owned land is held collectively by a group, not by any one group member. For the group to own land, its members must submit land contributions, donations that members make from their own personal land tier allowance. The group can own a total amount of land whose area equals 110% or less of the sum of all group contributions.
For example, if you donate 1000 square meters (sqm) to your group, the group can own 1100sqm of land.
To modify your group donations:
- Open your Group's profile by right-clicking on the group name in the Groups panel (Communicate > Groups) and selecting View Info
- Go to the Land/Assets tab
- Type the number of square meters you'd like to share with the group in the Your Contribution box
- Click Save
| Group land contributions do not automatically reduce if you sell the land or return it to your ownership, so be sure to adjust your contribution whenever you make changes to land parcels owned by the group. This will help to prevent your account from being billed for more land meters than you need! |
